Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

The human race will one day split into two separate species, an attractive, intelligent ruling elite and an underclass of dim-witted, ugly goblin-like creatures, according to a top scientist.

100,000 years into the future, sexual selection could mean that two distinct breeds of human will have developed.

The alarming prediction comes from evolutionary theorist Oliver Curry from the London School of Economics, who says that the human race will have reached its physical peak by the year 3000.

The report claims that after they reach their peak around the year 3000 humans will begin to regress

These humans will be between 6ft and 7ft tall and they will live up to 120 years.

"Physical features will be driven by indicators of health, youth and fertility that men and women have evolved to look for in potential mates," says the report, which suggests that advances in cosmetic surgery and other body modifying techniques will effectively homogenise our appearance.

Men will have symmetrical facial features, deeper voices and bigger penises, according to Curry in a report commissioned for men's satellite TV channel Bravo.

Women will all have glossy hair, smooth hairless skin, large eyes and pert breasts, according to Curry.

Racial differences will be a thing of the past as interbreeding produces a single coffee-coloured skin tone.

The future for our descendants isn't all long life, perfect bodies and chiselled features, however.

While humans will reach their peak in 1000 years' time, 10,000 years later our reliance on technology will have begun to dramatically change our appearance.

Medicine will weaken our immune system and we will begin to appear more child-like.

Dr Curry said: "The report suggests that the future of man will be a story of the good, the bad and the ugly.

H G Wells' Science Fiction novel The Time Machine (which was later adapted into two films - this picture is from the 2002 version) the human race has evolved into two species, the highly intelligent and wealthy Eloi...

...and the frightening, animalistic Morlock (as seen in the 1960 film version of the classic book)

"While science and technology have the potential to create an ideal habitat for humanity over the next millennium, there is the possibility of a monumental genetic hangover over the subsequent millennia due to an over-reliance on technology reducing our natural capacity to resist disease, or our evolved ability to get along with each other.

"After that, things could get ugly, with the possible emergence of genetic 'haves' and 'have-nots'."

Dr Curry's theory may strike a chord with readers who have read H G Wells' classic novel The Time Machine, in particular his descriptions of the Eloi and the Morlock races.

In the 1895 book, the human race has evolved into two distinct species, the highly intelligent and wealthy Eloi and the frightening, animalistic Morlock who are destined to work underground to keep the Eloi happy.

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

No this would not happen. Trends have shown that humans are become less distinct in the sense that there is no longer any significant source of allopatric speciation (i.e. human races no longer exist according to many biologists). Sympatric speciation is less common and would not be expected among a species like humans. For this trend to happen, there would need to be reproductive isolation between ugly people and beautiful people as well as smart people and dumb people and tall and short. It also assumes that men and women choose these attributes in fathers, not just in casual sexual relationships. Besides beutiful people are not always smart, rich, and tall. This is faulty logic. Dr. Curry's arguments are surprisingly short sighted and ignore many obvious issues in evolution.

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

I read that article too. I think it's interesting, but I think Dr. Curry is taking a little bit of a leap looking that far into the future. He could be right and it all sounds very poosible but he's looking really far ahead.

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

Whoever said that... must be pshyco... 4 real!

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

I read the article as well and find it amussing to find a 112 year old theory return to headline news.

Some of the flaws of this theory include the falacy that the working class would choose uglier mates and that the pretty people (which the article refrences plastic surgery) would produce likelwise pretty people. If your a buck toothed flat chested girl with mousey hair ...your kids will look like you .plastic surgery doent alter DNA.

The one statement made that i did find thought provoking is the racial blending idea. Like in matrix's final city Zion...every natural born human was coffee colored from interracial breeding.

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

That probably will happen, but not for a million more years.

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

I would doubt it but the eugenisists are out there, and conducting thier "Nazi" depopulation experiments. I've only actually seem this story on infowars.com or jonesreport.com.

If this isnt where you found this story check it out.

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

I read that article 2, i think scientists r running out of things to predict and now have to take off science fiction novels

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

Fascinating, isn't it? Just not very likely, in my opinion. Personal preferences are just that, personal, and what's considered "sexy" changes from generation to generation. By today's standards, Marilyn Monroe at 126 lbs, and very curvy, is considered "too fat" by today's preferences.

And it seems that the liberal viewpoint that all lifestyles and philosophies are equal, will disappear when there are 2 classes--whatever happened to "we are all one race, the HUMAN race!" The struggle for human and equal rights will be tossed into the garbage heap? Isn't creating a servant class a step backward? And how about those robots we were promised?

And why should there be a worker class when there will be machines, computers, and robots to do the menial and repetitive work? Shouldn't scientific advances eliminate the need for a subservient class? Or is this a wish to become a royalty vs peasant society? Are we recreating the feudal period? Slavery?

I think Dr. Curry was sensationalizing his theory for the publicity-some of the things he's proposing are illegal.

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

This question cannot be answered because it doesn't exist a 'human race' or 'human races', only ONE human SPECIES.

All humans are classified as belonging to the SPECIES 'Homo sapiens sapiens'.

Human race will split into two races? Who believes this?

Will the "goblin-like" species be called "homo uglo"?

How can I make synthetic hair less shiny?

I am going to be wearing a sort of padding and false hair combination worked in with my own hair, but the false hair (kanekalon) is too shiny -- even my own hair is not that shiny, and I am often complemented how soft and shiny my hair is. Clearly the synthetic pieces have shine beyond human capability!

The only solution I've ever heard mentioned is to sprinkle it with powder or dirt, but since my hair (and the piece) are so dark I am afraid that would lighten the color.

I might also add, it doesn't matter if the hair becomes stiff, that's fine -- it's just arranged over a piece of padding in order to fill out some areas where my own hair is too scant to cover it, so it doesn't need to be flexible.

If anyone can help, that would be great.

How can I make synthetic hair less shiny?

yea powder then brush some out. That is what they use backstage for models when their hair is too greasy.

How can I make synthetic hair less shiny?

You could try looking for like a matt finish hairspray and apply that...i have seen one made by TiGi.....

Are there any other animals that grow grey hair as they age besides humans of course?

Many animals grow grey hair. Domestic cats and dogs of course and almost all of the ape family. Also dog type animals such as wolves. The reason for the grey hair is the gradual loss of melanin which gives hair it's colour. Many animals do not live long enough for the melanin to deteriorate so keep their colours for all of their life. The types of animals kept for food, pigs, sheep, cattle etc do not live long enough to develop grey hair as they are usually slaughtered whilst young. Horses do though and most long lived pets. In the wild many animals are killed by predators as they get older or die of disease so they also never get the chance to go grey.

Are there any other animals that grow grey hair as they age besides humans of course?

Dogs do on their nose

I've had dogs whose hair has gone grey as they've aged. Especially around the muzzle.

Are there any other animals that grow grey hair as they age besides humans of course?

Gorillas' backs turn silver as they age. It's very common to see white hairs around aged dogs' muzzles; black cats turn brownish. That are the few examples I can recall now.

Are there any other animals that grow grey hair as they age besides humans of course?

dogs, monkeys, and polar bears get more brown and yellow.

Are there any other animals that grow grey hair as they age besides humans of course?

dogs do. on their muzzle and chin. my bunny has one patch of grey hair on her back, but she's only 2, so i don't think that's age.

Are there any other animals that grow grey hair as they age besides humans of course?

Dogs and wolves go gray, and older horses gray at the muzzle. Gorillas also go gray. If three such different kinds of animals go gray, many more probably do.

Are there any other animals that grow grey hair as they age besides humans of course?

Idont Think So. A Cats Hair Can Change Color.

Are there any other animals that grow grey hair as they age besides humans of course?

Most of the primates, some bears, and dogs.

Cats, for some reason, don't seem to...

Why does hair grow harder and faster after you shave it?

Damn I hate hair... It's so darn pointless humans started wearing clothes for shielding ages ago, I think evolution should have reduced body hair to almost nothing by now!!

Why does hair grow harder and faster after you shave it?

It isn't really growing harder and faster, it is just that the length, texture and coarseness of your hair are determined by genetics and hormone levels, not by how often you shave.

It may be because many people start shaving early in life, when hair growth has not reached its highest rate and the hair is of lighter color. Also, hair is darker and rougher at its roots, so removing the tips gives the appearance of coarser hair.

The bristly stubble that emerges after shaving may also be more noticeable than the same amount of growth in hair that is already long.

Why does hair grow harder and faster after you shave it?

Your hair is darker and thicker the 'farther' back it is in your skin so when it grows back, it grows back darker and thicker.

I dont know why it grows faster, however.

Why does hair grow harder and faster after you shave it?

It doesn't. That's a myth.

Why does hair grow harder and faster after you shave it?

most definatly a myth. Nothing you can do will seriously affect your hair growth.

Why does hair grow harder and faster after you shave it?

It doesn't, you only think it does. If your hair fell out naturally, or by way of an epilator, it comes back in thin at first and then gets gradually thicker, so it appears softer.

When you shave, all hair starts to come back on an equal playing field. So it appears darker/thicker and seems to grow faster.

I will say, sometimes the vitamins you take will make your hair grow faster but also on your head which for some people is a good thing!

Human phaeomelanin production questions?

When stimulated by one of the cleavage products of proopiomelanocortin, typically 浼?melanocyte stimulating hormone (浼?MSH), Mc1r initiates a complex signalling cascade that leads to the production of black or brown eumelanin. In most mammals, this signal can be altered by the binding of another protein to Mc1r. Agouti signalling peptide (Asip), a paracrine signalling factor, anatagonizes 浼?MSH activation of Mc1r and results in a switch to the production of red or yellow phaeomelanin. how can we bind Asip protein to Mc1r in humans, therefore changing the person's hair color, and where ca we find/buy Asip?

Human phaeomelanin production questions?

I'm sure we can't buy Asip...at least not yet. You can try to be the one who produce it though. Also, I'm familiar with the whole phaeomelanin system, but in cats not in human.

Does hair of cats have any effects on sterility in women?

I want to buy a cat (Persian type), but i have heard the hairs of cats are harmful for human and maybe cause some problems in genital organ of women and even they cause sterility in women.please let me know if you have any information about this matter or tell me some useful websites that are concerned it.

Does hair of cats have any effects on sterility in women?

the problem with pregnant women and cats is the germs in the cat litter. No effect on initial fertility that ive heard of. Also some allergy problems if susceptible.

Does hair of cats have any effects on sterility in women?

Who told you that.... I know its dangerous for pregant women to change the cats litter box as something in cat urine can cause birthdefects. yikes not good......I'd like to know where you got that info from

Why is my cat afraid of hair tools?

My siamese cat has a very bizarre fear. He is afraid of hair tools. He is afraid of hair dryers (while off), hair straighteners, hair brushes, anything. My other cat has absolutely no fear of these things, but my siamese will run, jump, and generally be afraid if he notices hair tools on the ground. Worse yet, he insists on being near my wife when she does her hair in the mornings. He will occasionally viciously attack the hair tools and then run away. He is very skittish around these things. He's a scaredy cat in general... afraid of strangers in particular. But no other object strikes fear in him like hair tools. Bizarrely, we have cat brushes that look like human brushes, but he doesn't have a problem with these.

What is wrong with my cat? Why is he afraid of hair tools, yet he will go out of his way to attack them?

Why is my cat afraid of hair tools?

maybe your wife uses some kind of product on her hair which is in all the hair tools - like a hairspray or a leave in conditioner and the cat hates the smell - cats hate lemons anything citrus smelling - they jump miles from it!! they may have aversions to other smelss too - you know how you can taste hairspray as well as smell it when its sprayed - maybe thats what it is - I may be wrong - it was just a thought!!!!

Why is my cat afraid of hair tools?

he most likely had a bad incounter with hair tools sometime in his life or he sees them as something other then hair tools that scares him.

Why is my cat afraid of hair tools?

He is just a scared kitty. My male kitty is the exact same way. I wouldn't worry, it is just his personality.

Why is my cat afraid of hair tools?

Cat's hate loud music , I guess they dont know what they are. And your cat never have ever been around them and not used to them.

Human intelligence and physiology still increasing, keeping up with technological and cultural advan

We've come a long way from hairy cavemen who managed to wield fire and survive in a harsh, predator-infested world. But, other than losing more and more hair and some other physiological body parts/functions, is the human race still evolving its intelligence and overall fitness (fitness as in overall genetic purity and resistance to diseases, (toxic?) chemical substances, radiation, and mechanical damage) like it has been for tens of thousands of years, or has our success eliminated the effects of evolution, now that even the weakest and/or less intelligent members of the human race have plenty of resources and possibilities to reproduce? Can our intelligence and fitness keep up with our society's advancement into the space age, or will the human race eventually perish out of accumulated genetical imperfections? What screening methods of evolution still apply to the human race, other than weeding out the obvious inheritable diseases? Is the human race going forward, or standing still?

Human intelligence and physiology still increasing, keeping up with technological and cultural advance?

I think our success has limited evolution, but we are also learning to evolve purposely. We can now have our eggs and sperm tested for genetic diseases so that we can eliminate some accumulated genetic imperfections by choice. Cool, huh?

Human intelligence and physiology still increasing, keeping up with technological and cultural advance?

Max, we are currently experiencing rapid population growth %26amp; natural selection does not occur during those periods. Natural selection is often confused with evolution, which is a never ending situation. During natural selection, something happens to reduce the reproductive or survival chances of a species causing a "bottle neck" through which only a few of the species will fit. This may be some disease, climate change or other adverse situation that limits the survivability of a species.

Because those with an IQ of below 90 produce 3 times the number of offspring as those with an IQ of over 115, one might assume we are naturally selecting for a lower IQ, but scores don't seem to reflect this, as of yet. This is a puzzle where the mitigating factor may be cultural rather than genetic factors. We need more data on this %26amp; the way we measure intelligence.

While we are still evolving, abeit in many differing directions, only a calamity of some sort will make the selection for the future of humanity... be it pure chance or some evolved characteristic can't be determined.

Human intelligence and physiology still increasing, keeping up with technological and cultural advance?

with any luck evolution will screen humanity out of existance...

they are a unpleasant creature...

Human intelligence and physiology still increasing, keeping up with technological and cultural advance?

Ed...The average IQ of the western world has gone up by 30 points in the last hundred years(Flynn effect), it's probably hidden any dysgenic effect from low reproductive numbers in the high IQ crowd. Also, contraception has only been a major force in the past 50 years or so.

We're are always evolving, more so now than before because the huge population gives more opportunities for beneficial mutations to occur. Lactose tolerance is still in the process of spreading itself, it's only a few thousand years old.

I'd imagine a little mild genetic engineering will creep in by embryo selection in the next couple of decades, picking the best of a few hunded conceptions, like in the story Gatttaca. It would counteract any problems from the sickly surviving. Unnatural selection.

Human intelligence and physiology still increasing, keeping up with technological and cultural advance?

I liked mathildas answer. While I agree that human intelligence has gone up to do to better education and access to information via the internet I think people have become dependant upon technology to think for them more and more. I think this might eventually lead to the cybernetic human coupled with genetic enginering.

Intelligence is only one factor determined by DNA. Just because you're smart doesn't mean you have good DNA. I think Steven Hawkin is a prime example. In the next couple of decades I think we will see the emergence of artificial intelligence and this may play a key role in how humans develope. In the mean time I think over population will eventually force conflict and those with the most and best technology will likely prevail.

Ultimately in my opinion I think technology will determine our future evolution and that even though we will become increasingly more dependant upon it I think our over all intelligence and mental functioning will grow. I also think that technology will allow us to combat cancer and disease.

We as a species have taken a much more excellerated path. Normal evolution takes a minimum of decades to emerge, and thats just simple things like behavioral trends. We with our intelligence have made it so that we will evolve far more faster than most other live forms. (save the common cold and fleu bugs ;-)

It's for a story I'm writing, and I have no idea how to otherwise find the info. I'm sure it varies, but I'm talking about AVERAGE. Thanks ahead of time!

(I have seen them because I had them as a child and my kids had them) If it is lice, the school may not want them to attend until you are rid of them. They are highly contagious. You might even want to contact the school so they have the health nurse check other students.

Is there a parasite that both humans and animals can have in their hair? it kind of looks like a small worm!?

You could have lice or worms-better go see a Doctor.

Is there a parasite that both humans and animals can have in their hair? it kind of looks like a small worm!?

Maybe lice or maggots.. ewww

Is there a parasite that both humans and animals can have in their hair? it kind of looks like a small worm!?

you can both get the red mange it makes you itch all over and looks kinda like poison ivy...my sis in law had it from a puppy she got..you have to get a shot for it...

Is there a parasite that both humans and animals can have in their hair? it kind of looks like a small worm!?

Yah...Eew...Take the worms out and kill them! Don't want someone else to get the worms crawling in their hair...

Is there a parasite that both humans and animals can have in their hair? it kind of looks like a small worm!?

most parasites that live in hair ,can be shared by animals and humans

Is there a parasite that both humans and animals can have in their hair? it kind of looks like a small worm!?

YOU HAVE LICE. SEE A DOCTOR BECAUSE LICE IS CONTAGOUS

Is there a parasite that both humans and animals can have in their hair? it kind of looks like a small worm!?

Why is the lie allowed that bukas get women seen as humans not sex objects when not human at all.?

Why is the lie allowed that bukas get women seen as humans not sex objects when not human at all.

here this one come up a lot but its a total lie.

If someon is covered up looking like a cylon or ninja

That thing has no face

No identity

No visible personality

No humanity

No nothing.

Nobody looks into its minds (it being a legit words as cannot tell if male, female, alien, robot or wookie.)

The face and hair are there for a reason...

In human communication its all facial expression with hairstyles projecting personailty.

You cant tell one buka person from another as no individual face, no recognition.

So how do you get close to get to know somone and how do you recognise them again.

It stops all interaction as most communication is non verbal.

As for sexaul objectification...

Tripe.

Why always aimed at the women?

Attractiveness is the means by which males and felames become attracted to each other %26amp; from relationships

Why is the lie allowed that bukas get women seen as humans not sex objects when not human at all.?

In Islam, the man is the dominant force in society and is considered superior to a woman. He is head of the family unit, males take precedence in Mosques, in fact many mosques do not permit women to enter to pray. They have advantages in sharia law, for example, it is easier for a man to divorce a woman than vice versa.

The interpretation of this basic power relationship varies enormously, e.g. in Malaysia they treat the women with respect and choice, in Taliban Afghanistan women were forced to wear the Burqa and were severely beaten with clubs or sometimes murdered if they had the audacity to let their faces be seen in their own homes by a man looking through their window!

I think the burqa is just another symptom of this unequal relationship. However, let's not be too smug, Western civilisation has had glaring inequalities over the years, the right for a woman to vote, equal pay etc etc

Why is the lie allowed that bukas get women seen as humans not sex objects when not human at all.?

I think it's just a way of forcing 'their' women into a dormant obedient state of mind.

Why is the lie allowed that bukas get women seen as humans not sex objects when not human at all.?

all women are human even when covered...

Why is the lie allowed that bukas get women seen as humans not sex objects when not human at all.?

The burka is not the same as Hijab. Burka is worn out of cultural reasons, but the recommended covering is the Hijab in which the face is visible.

Of all humans, do Native Americans have the straightest hair type?

I see alot of Native Americans with long, stick straight hair; not a curl to be found. What is the reason for this? Information is greatly appreciated.

Of all humans, do Native Americans have the straightest hair type?

Ok, not ALL natives generated from china, some groups are genetically different (as a recent study shows)

But generally first nations people's hair is straight, long ago thats all natives hair was, but genetics get modified, parents have different backgrounds and hair types.

Personally I think that the hair is straight because we wouldn't cut our hair and it is beautiful long so the weight would pull the hair straight.

Of all humans, do Native Americans have the straightest hair type?

I think alot of Asians have straight hair too.

Some people belive that Native Americans migrated from Asia specificaly China and Mongolia across the Baring Strait.

Of all humans, do Native Americans have the straightest hair type?

Kind of hopping on Buddha's answer.......well migration and adaptation.....what nature does is well when you don't need something you get rid of it and/or adapt. After Lucy's descendants left African, where Asians and Native Americans have migrated to they didn't need the type of hair, little to a lot less melanin, different types of eyes/eye shapes, lips, noses, etc.

Of all humans, do Native Americans have the straightest hair type?

my hair isn't very straight... oh wait, yes it is.

Of all humans, do Native Americans have the straightest hair type?

Yes, since Native Americans are "Asian"

Of all humans, do Native Americans have the straightest hair type?

I love NA and Asian hair too(the two groups are genetically related since a long time ago the NA ancestors migrated from asia). I think like someone said it was an adaption to the environment. Straight hair just suited them for where they were living i guess.

Of all humans, do Native Americans have the straightest hair type?

There are three major hair types: Asian, African and European.

African hair has a lot of strands per square inch on the scalp and is very fine and very curly.

Asian hair has less strands per square inch on the scalp, but is very coarse and very straight.

European hair falls somewhere between these two extremes.

Most American Indians have Asian type hair.

Of all humans, do Native Americans have the straightest hair type?

No, we do not. My hair and the hair of most of my family's is quite wavy, to tell the truth. I suppose you could it has a mind of its own; some days it is straight, and other days it is not. But truthfully I believe the Asians were more along the lines of "world's straightest hair."

What is a good brand of horse shampoo that is safe for human use?

Im wanting to buy some horse shampoo and or horse pills to help promote the growth of my hair. What are some brands of horse shampoo that also humans can use? I want my hair to be to my lower back with in a year if its possible. My hair is at the top of my collar now.

What is a good brand of horse shampoo that is safe for human use?

They sell Mane and Tail at just about any store. Walmart, Sally's, anywhere. I dunno if it will actually make it grow faster, but it softens rougher hair and makes it nice and smooth.

What is a good brand of horse shampoo that is safe for human use?

Mane n' Tail

What is a good brand of horse shampoo that is safe for human use?

Tail and Mane is the only one that comes to mind.

What is a good brand of horse shampoo that is safe for human use?

dont use horse shampoo, i dont think its that bad but what you should do is look for a multivitamin or even better are prenatal vitamin. they have biotin which promotes hair growth

What is a good brand of horse shampoo that is safe for human use?

mane and tail. plus, it smells really good!

Should you hair dryer a dog?

My step sister has just bathed the dog. Now she's drying her with a hair dryer. Is this safe? It's a human hairdryer.

Should you hair dryer a dog?

It is safe just don't use maximum heat setting and do not blow air in it's eyes or ears let them air dry. Also the dog could fear the noise so make sure to keep it calm and reward it afterwards. If it seems to started use a towl this is my method of choice.

Should you hair dryer a dog?

I dry both of my dogs with my hair dryer. As long as she does not burn the dogs skin, she is fine doing what she is doing.

I always keep my hand where the air is hitting to ensure that I do not burn my dogs skin with the heat.

Should you hair dryer a dog?

It's safe as long as it's not too hot. My dog hated it, so I just dried her with a towel.

Should you hair dryer a dog?

yes but as long as its not that hot.

Should you hair dryer a dog?

Blow drying and brushing your dog's hair: Blow drying a dog's hair is something that must be done very carefully because dogs are not able to handle the heat of a blow dryer very well. Using a dryer will decrease the amount of time you will need to spend towel drying your dog and in breeds that have curly hair it loosens the hair which forms a thick uniform layer which can then be cut with some scissors and will then allow you to sculpture it th

e way you desire. If the dog's coat is not properly prepared, cutting it will be more difficult and the results will probably not be the best. If you choose to use a dryer on the dog's coat, it might turn into a problem since you need both hands 閳?one to keep the dog in place and the other to use the brush. Professional dog groomers use special dryers that allow their hands to be free. Make sure to never put your dog too close to the dryer so as to not burn his hair. Brush the dog's hair while you are drying it with the brush or comb (depending on your breed).

As soon as your dog is done with his bath make sure to take as much water off of his coat with your hand by pressing hard on the sides of his head, tail and ears (make sure not to hurt the dog though!), followed by his sides, his stomach, his legs and paws from top to bottom. Finish off the job by drying him with a sponge towel or a normal towel completely. The dog will still be slightly wet after this but he should not be drenched in water by any means.

Should you hair dryer a dog?

yes...just be careful not burn the dogs skin

Should you hair dryer a dog?

i do my dogs with a hair dryer and the kennels i worked in used to use them to as long as you dont get it to hot will be fine, x

Should you hair dryer a dog?

Yes it is I do it to my dogs all the time and groomers do it all the time to..

Should you hair dryer a dog?

I do it all the time. Now, if the dog is scared and backs away, it's no longer a good thing. As long as you don't hold it too close or on one spot too long- It's just mechanically derived warm air, silly!

Should you hair dryer a dog?

Yeah, its fine. :]

Just dont let her put the dryer to close, it'll be hot hot hot.

We have small dogs, so we bathe them, towel dry them, let them walk around for a whle, and then brush them. It works, actually. x]

Should you hair dryer a dog?

I use a hair dryer for my pets all the time. Just don't hold it to close to their skin and don't blow it directly in their face.

Should you hair dryer a dog?

as long as you move the dryer around quickly so that it doesn't burn up the skin. Groomers use a similar product but it's more powerful, so yes it's safe.

Hair extensions...?

My beautician said getting permanent extensions would ruin my hair (I have really thin hair), so I'm getting the clip-ins - human extensions.

If you've had clip-in extensions, what's been your experience with them? Are they worth the $300?

Hair extensions...?

jessica simpson put out a clip-in hair extension line, that's WAY cheaper. the synthetic hair is really natural. it's priced by length...

http://www.hairuwear.com/

Hair extensions...?

i have $5000 worth of horse hair. go horse hair trust me.

Hair extensions...?

do not listen to that person do not get horse hair

get human hair

but dont pay $300 for it

look around and make sure you get a light colour so you can dye it to match your hair

clip in extensions are the best

they dont ruin your hair and you can choose to wear them whenever you want

Hair extensions...?

I had clip ins and I got the real thing .. Honestly I hated both the clip ins were just as hard on my hair.

the extensions looked bad after a week even though I had it done by one of the best in the industry.

I was uncomfortable and could barely sleep at night.

After all that I got a wig that drove me nutzz too.

Now I just deal with my thin hair and live comfortably.

If it ever gets too bad when I get older I will wear a bandanna

Hair extensions...?

If you have really thin hair and you want hair extensions, it has been recommended that you use clip in's as its less weight on your hair.

I had one clip in (about 3 inches in width) and cut it to my normal hair length and attached it. It looked pretty real (even though the colour was blue).

But in Australia, clip in's aren't around $300. Usually $90+

Depends where your from and what type of hair it is.

European remy human hair is the best.

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

how much volts of electicity a human being can take, just to make their hair stand up?

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

1. We can withstand a significant amount of electrical potential say 10,000 to 50, 000 volts. This is a usual electrostatic discharge and I never heard of any one turning into 閳ユΓiquid poop閳? as you eloquently put it, after being subjected to its discharge. The reason it never seriously hurt no one is due to a LOW CURRENT (see 5)

2. The famous old battle between Westinghouse and Edison has demonstrated the 閳ユΞafety閳?of 120Volts of direct current (DC) in comparison to the same 120 V alternating current (AC). See the history of an electric chair fro for information.

3.In the past, when the misfortunate victims of high voltage AC came into contact with live wires, who had their flesh literally cook when the current went past their body. Some were fortunate enough to survive and tell the tale.

4. A little theory to clarify the phenomena

V - Voltage is the amount of energy per electric charge

I - Current or flow of charge

P - Power dissipated and is equal to V x I

Oh yes, I forgot resistance R = V/I So if the body has a higher resistance it will let less current though and less current means less damage since less power will be dissipated or P=V^2/R

5.If are adventurous enough you may subject a hot dog to a 120v electrocution by placing it on a dinner plate and two forks stuck at each end and serving as electrodes. Stay clear a few feet when you turn the 閳ユΑuice閳?on. You will learn that the hot dog will not turn into 'liquid poop', but will heat up very fast.

Just a note. It is not the water in the hot dog that conducts electricity, but it the salts dissolved in the water. Water by it self is an INSULATOR and poorly conducts electricity.

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

Thanks Report It

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

my science teacher said we die at .01 volts

so anything less?

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

A person can take a pretty high voltage, but what usually kills them is the current.

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

i don't know about most people but i've been hooked up to a Von Goue Generater for an experiment in phisics class, we all saw how many volts we could take, we all had to touch it, i lasted the longest, i let go after 30,000 volts cause i was bored, but i was hyper and couldn't feel anything for the next 2 days

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

This could be a medical question.

Many of us have or could survive 110 volts without any adverse affects. If one had a heart condition, that could be enough to kill one.

If "you" would like to test the amount that would stand your hair on end, do so. I doubt you will live to tell about it.

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

you can take 110 volts i experience it.

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

well it is the current that kills a person and not the voltage .if u volentier to be used as a conection wire between the two ends of very high voltage generator , if u touch one end of it and refuse to touch the another ur hair will stand up .that is because u r being only charged by one type of it this charge flows to ur hair stands and they repel each other and stand up

to kill a person only a mild shock is enough bcoz it will enterupt with the working of the natural electrical system of the body ie the nerves ,the spinal chord ,and the brain.this will lead to instant death bcoz the brain controls ur heart and lungs and kidneys and almost everything

How much volts of electricity can a human take?

It's not so much the voltage as it is power that matters. If your body is exposed to high current (and therefore, high power), it will fry like meat in a pan. But high voltage with low current can also kill you in a different way. If the electricity passes your chest it can cause the heart to stop beating. Then you die of a heart attack.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

It's proof God created us. If we evolved from primates, we would have hair around our whole bodies. We were designed to wear clothes.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

we have evolved the characteristic of not needing hair, buddy. since it isnt cold like our ancestors use to live in, we dont need a lot of hair. its evolved to where we dont have it.

w

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Evolution is ongoing, we still have an appendix, totally useless. We are evolving so as we continue to do so we become less hairy.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

maybe we were the outcome of apes breeding with lizards

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

No that just shows more evolution. It's called natural selection proven by Charles Darwin. Primates needed more hair as they were in the outdoors much more than us, just like cavemen were more hairy than we are now. We evolved to not have as much hair because we became more civilized.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

you're absolutely right...now where's Noah and his humongous ark?

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Charles W.M.X C Darwin had almost equal hair of a gorilla. Trust me on this one.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Obviously, you have not read the creation story. God created Adam and Eve naked, and so they existed until they sinned. So, we could not have been designed to wear clothes.

Besides, it was clothes that made us stop having hair over our bodies. Early man migrated north, which required that he wear clothes for warmth. Once this became a custom of civilization, the need for hair all over the body diminished.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

We DO have hair on our entire bodies, it's called lanugo hair. the fact that humans do not have "hairy" bodies like other primates does not disprove evolution. Your "proof" is flawed.

(Don't think I do not believe God created us, though, because I do.)

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

But we do have hair around our whole bodies. Just not as dense.

I don't want to argue about it because I believe that God began the universe and evolution (kind of a synthetic belief rather than just Darwinism or just fundamentalism)

Following survival of the fittest, it would follow that when humans began to disperse around the globe, especially desert land, maybe the hair got too hot? I don't know.

That's a good question.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Evolution is something that is determined by outside forces.. like for instance a house (shelter) and clothing would be considered "outside forces".

We still have hair on our bodies, but not as think as primates simply because we don't need it anymore, so our bodies is adapting to the "outside forces".

That the same reason why people in Europe have longer noses, in general, than say people in Africa. The reason is because the outside force, being cold air in Europe, compared to Africa.

So the air is to cold for the body and uses the longer nose to heat it up on the way in. That is a simple change, but its still very basic evolution.

I hope that helps, I was trying to make this as easy as possible ;)

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

You kind of just answered your own question. We evolved, that's why we don't have as much hair anymore.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Oh is that REALLY where I only have hair? Let me tell you about pubic hair and its function...

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

First, we do have hair around our whole bodies (except palms of hands and feet), the same as chimps and other apes.

Second, Adam and Eve were not designed to wear clothes. They were naked in the garden. They only wore clothes after the fall. Are you saying God designed them to sin, that they had no free will?

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Evolution is real, but you must study structure and function to understand it. Biologists are not claiming that people came from monkeys. They are just pointing out that all organisms change over a long period of time.

Study history - people are much taller now than they were in the middle ages. That is a change over time.

Imagine early pre-Homo sapiens. They realized that covering their bodies helped to keep them warm. However, by covering their bodies they "wore away" the hair in the areas covered by the furs or skins they wore. Over 20 or 30 generations the hair simply stopped growing as thick in those areas. You body is reasonably well equipped to "use it or lose it" and will not waste resources and energy to produce thick hair where it is not needed. People still have body hair - just not as thick because the body knows it is no longer needed for survival.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

The amount of hair-growth (follicle tips) is denser on the parts of the body where the skin is more stretched. Commonly, the scalp is a mostly s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d peice of skin on the human body - with exception to those of us who don a beard (myself included.)

Although, those of us (gentlemen and a few ladies, so I hear) have as much. if not more follicle growth on our chests - and other parts on our bodies (including armpits.)

NATURE is commonly uncommon.

*GO FIGGER!

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

IF evolution was real??? Go back to school. And in case you haven't heard, we ARE primates - we are biologically classified as APES. Now go read about what the word "evolution" REALLY means (that we probably came from a common ancestor) instead of listening to religious propaganda. Study how DNA works and evolution becomes OBVIOUS. And to your comment that we would have hair everywhere - ever see Robin Williams?

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Designed to wear clothes? You know Adam and Eve were naked and only discovered modesty after consuming the forbidden fruit.

Wearing clothes is a consequence of original sin, not of God's design.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

According to the old testimant we werent designed to wear clothes.. remember thats when adam %26amp; eve got in trouble with god.. when they covered themselves after the apple incident because they were naked and ashamed.... So the God created man to wear clothes argument dosent wash biblically.. (you cant have it both ways)

And if fact humans do have hair around thier whole bodies.. its just finer %26amp; lighter in some more than others.. There is more than one human running around these days that make the Gieco Cavemen look positively hairless.

One possible reason for more hair on the head area in general is thats in an insulation thing... it protects the brain from extreme heat or cold , andother is it might have something to do with subliminal mating %26amp; attraction much like a lions mane or a peacocks tail

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

You are absolutely brilliant, D鐩瞡i B.

I'm going to call Dawkins and Gould and tell them that you have it all figured out.

I'm also going to visit all of the universities and museums in the world and present them with your sound, vibrant, and irrefutable "proof."

No doubt, they will be as amazed as I am at your vast knowlege and understanding of science.

NOT!

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

We do have hair all over our bodies--look at your arms and face. Then compare people from different areas--equatorial people, who have traditionally lived at lower, warmer latitudes have less hair when compared to people who have traditionally lived at higher altitudes.

Also, I have definitely met some people with veritable fur coats on their torsos:).

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Sexual selection. Hominid girls thought relatively non-hairy boys were cuter. Similarly, hominid boys thought relatively non-hairy girls were cuter.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

HAIR ON YOUR HEAD HELPS REGULATE HEAT DISSIPATION

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Most people these days accept that evolution is the way humans and other animals have developed. We are pretty sure that the earlier versions of us were considerably hairier than we are today. We needed the hair, as do other animals, to protect us from the effects of cold and heat, as we didn't wear clothes, then.

Over millennia we started to use animal skins and other materials to help keep us warm, correspondingly evolution lent a hand by deciding we didn't need as much hair.

There is an unproved theory that bald men are higher up the evolutionary ladder than hairy men. (this theory, of course is mainly supported by men who have less hair)

We have evolved, the (admittedly few) remains of earlier man shows a stooped, heavier boned, version of modern man. We have grown taller, our cranial capacity has increased, we have lost some of the musculature and strength of early man because we have used tools to mould our world and rely less on brute strength.

It is not exactly clear why hair has remained under the arms and around the genital areas, though one day, no doubt, some clever scientist will work it out for us.

There is no 'proof' that God created anything, those that believe in God have faith, which is sufficient for them. Those that don't, believe in science or nothing at all.

It is also not clear whether or not we actually eveolved from primates. No 'missing link' has been found to tie the species together. Popularly we evolved from a possible common creature, but this has been neither proved nor disproved.

BobSpain

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

supposedly, somewhere in an unspecified age, our ancestors became aquatic, and their infants needed something to hold on to.

the appendix is not a vestigal organ, it aids in the digestion of raw meat.

darwin was a racist.

evolution is a faith, poorly founded in the name of humanism.

man cannot achieve salvation, it is a gift freely offered.

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

Well there are a lot of animals that have different amounts of air- some with much less hair than us. Physically there will always be interesting differences that don't make logical sense. But this doesn't prove evolution is real either. Humans are wildly different than all other animals. Humans have a sense of self, community, adaption, etc. more than anything else. I would be inclined more to believe that humans came from an alien race than to believe that we simple got all the useful adaptations and the dog got the adaptations to lick his own butt.

Why am I disgusted with the human race?

I don't mean at the things we've done as nations and individuals to each other. I mean I look at humans and I see all the sweat and hair and the stench of their breath, the raspy or slimy feel of palms as I shake hands, sometimes disgusting veins sticking out, hugs guts, sallow eyes, cracked lips...All the snot and mucus and spit we all have, filled with sticky blood, all of this covered with dirt filled pores. Why do I feel this way? I look at a supermodel and am disgusted. I'm disgusted with myself. I'm ashamed to be a human. I honestly want to kill every single person I see. I only don't because I know it would be ultimately pointless to stem this plague called humanity. What the hell is wrong with me?

Why am I disgusted with the human race?

We are a disgusting bunch, I admit.

I think that you are disappointed that we can't be better. You are asking, "Why do we have to accept such imperfection all around us when we are taught that we should continually seek the perfection that is impossible to reach?"

Well, there is beauty all around us, even if it is not perfect. It is all in the relativism of the perception. If we look at a beautiful object under a microscope, it is rendered clinical and thus lacking of aesthetic value.

But, if you look instead at the world through a "macro scope," you will see a much more pleasing picture.

For example, a mountain can be perceived as beautiful when viewed from afar.

You're just getting too close to your subject.

Why am I disgusted with the human race?

Oh dear. Well some times we all get down because there are some pretty ****** up things going on in the world. But don't blame everyone, and look for every single person's faults. Just try to be more positive...The human race has it's downfalls, it's disgusting habits, it's down days...but we are all doing the best we can. Don't think about killing people though, that's not right. Maybe see a doctor? Depression maybe. Good luck!

Do bulimic dogs keep tiny, skinny, blonde humans? With bows in their hair?

I think my dachshund has one. She's always running around with SOMETHING in her mouth.

Do bulimic dogs keep tiny, skinny, blonde humans? With bows in their hair?

Lol. Funny.

Do bulimic dogs keep tiny, skinny, blonde humans? With bows in their hair?

I thought those humans only have sexual relationships with them dogs...

If evolution was real, why do humans only have a dense amount of hair only on the head?

supposedly, somewhere in an unspecified age, our ancestors became aquatic, and their infants needed something to hold on to.

the appendix is not a vestigal organ, it aids in the digestion of raw meat.

What are the tiny hairs that cover the human fetus called?

and how long do they last after birth

What are the tiny hairs that cover the human fetus called?

Week 14 she's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair all over her body (called lanugo). No set time for losing the hair. It varies with each child.

What are the tiny hairs that cover the human fetus called?

I think its called Laguna (spelling might be off) But it normally falls off within a couple weeks to a couple months.

What are the tiny hairs that cover the human fetus called?

Lanugo

What are the tiny hairs that cover the human fetus called?

Lanugo is the word you are looking for. I don't think they last too long, my guess would be under six months???

Are humans the only animal to grow pubic hair?

What is the evolutionary benefit of Pubic hair?

What is the evolutionary benefit for 'male pattern baldness'?

Are humans the only animal to grow pubic hair?

hm..

Are humans the only animal to grow pubic hair?

Only god knows

Are humans the only animal to grow pubic hair?

What the heck kind of ignorant question is that?

Are humans the only animal to grow pubic hair?

I don't know if you'd want to call it pubic hair but if you notice, bulls have some kind of proliferation of hair around the opening of the penis.Pubic hair is like a billboard that nature places on our bodies that signals "hey! look over here!" to others with whom we're intimate with. Also, all our hair (no matter where) helps to protect certain parts of our body, regulate body temperature, and/or catch our natural "scent" (called pheromones) that is produced in our sweat to attract others (of course, this "scent" can also repel others if we don't shower often enough!). General body hair, like on our limbs and chest, is probably just a natural leftover from our prehistoric ancestors who were hairy all over to keep them warm!

Are humans the only animal to grow pubic hair?

All mammals (even whales) have hair or fur. I imagine most have hair or fur that covers their nether-regions, but I don't think I'd call it "pubic hair."

Some scientists think that pubic hair (in mammals in general) helps trap pheromones used to signal readiness for mating.

There is no known benefit to male pattern baldness (maybe fewer trips to the barber shop?). It's just an unfortunate allele that affects men more than women. Men need only one allele from either parent to have male pattern baldness, whereas women need to inherit two alleles (one from each parent) to display pattern baldness.

Are humans the only animal to grow pubic hair?

No. Almost all mammals are covered with hair. We have just lost it in most other parts of the body.

The primary benefit is the retention of odors, which, in dilute concentrations, are attractive to the opposite sex.

Male pattern baldness probably has no evolutionary benefit. However, because its onset often comes after the man is past breeding age (or at least after he has paired up), there is no great evolutionary penalty. If male pattern baldness started in the early teens and if women were repelled by it, there would be sexual selection against male pattern baldness and it would gradually decrease in frequency. As it is, there is no great selective pressure either way.
